Group rock Bastille dan duo EDM Disclosure mendapatkan kabar gembira pada awal tahun 2014 ini. Dua musisi pendatang baru Inggris tersebut menjadi penguasa nominasi Brit Awards tahun 2014. Bastille dan Disclosure akan bersaing untuk 4 nominasi yang sama, yaitu: Breakthrough Act, Single, Group dan Album of The Year. Perayaan penghargaan musik paling bergengsi di Inggris Raya ini, akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 Februari 2014 di O2 Arena, London.
Selain Bastille dan Disclosure, musisi senior David Bowie juga mendapatkan 2 nominasi untuk Artist dan Album of The Year. Boyband terpopuler di dunia saat ini, One Direction meraih 2 nominasi untuk Best British Single dan Group. Group musik Rudimental dan penyanyi Ellie Goulding masing-masing juga meraih 3 nominasi.
