Ajang penghargaan dunia perfilman dan TV, Golden Globe Awards ke-72 akhirnya sukses digelar di Beverly Hilton Hotel California, Amerika Serikat pada Minggu (11/01) waktu setempat. Dalam ajang penghargaan ini, terdapat 14 kategori untuk awards film dan 11 kategori untuk awards televisi. Awards ini dipersembahkan untuk pencinta film dan serial televisi Amerika. Acara glamor yang dipandu oleh Tina Fey dan Amy Poehler ini menghadirkan tawa, red carpet glamor, dan tentu saja banyak piala penghargaan.
Film petualangan naga, “How to Train Your Dragon 2,” sukses menyabet gelar sebagai film dengan animasi terbaik yang berhasil mengalahkan film “Lego Movie,” “Big Hero 6,” “The Book of Life” dan “The Boxtrolls.” Adapun Patricia Arquette berhasil meraih gelar sebagai aktris terbaik dalam film “Boyhood” yang disutradarai oleh Richard Linklater. Patricia berhasil menyingkirkan nominator lainnya yakni, Jessica Chastain dalam film “A Most Violent Year,” Kiera Knightley dalam film “The Imitation Game,” aktris senior Meryl Streep dalam film “Into The Woods,” dan Emma Stone di film “Birdman.”
